Take their recent work with the BBC at the RAF Museum London. They were using the Grahame Park Way site in North West London to host the filming of their major antiques show Flogging It on Thursday 29th January.
The popular antiques series is now in its fourteenth series and regularly attracts over two million viewers in its afternoon weekday slot. Viewers watch people flocking to have their antiques and collectables valued by Flog It’s team of experts, free of charge, and if their item is selected they have the chance of putting it up for auction a few weeks later and maybe making some serious money!
William Turnbull managing director of Capital hire said “We have provided our services for the BBC before. Back in October 2013 we delivered our marquee services for BBC One’s flagship programme The One Show at short notice due to weather conditions. Since we have an extensive portfolio of chair hire, table hire, catering equipment hire and all manner of event hire services on offer, we are more than happy to work with the BBC again!
We were contacted by the BBC who wanted to use our chair hire services for the programme as they anticipated a great number of people attending the event. Following discussions we were in agreement that our folding chair range was the most suitable chair for the event.
The folding chair is a versatile and adaptable option for your event, whether you are holding it indoors or outdoors. They are extremely comfortable and also practical, being very light and able to be folded, transported or stored away to provide extra space. They also have a simple and stylish design that means they can suit any occasion.
As London’s premier event hire services, with chair hire being a key element to our portfolio, we pride ourselves in offering first-rate services, such as a rapid delivery time – even offering same-day delivery and collection!
The RAF Museum London hosts a vast array of aircraft and historical artefacts in a number of hangers at the old Hendon Aerodrome site. They tell the story of aviation and how RAF servicemen, not just pilots, contributed to what we consider modern aviation to be.
It was beneath some of the world-class collection of aeroplanes that our 150 folding chairs were set up, weaving in and out of Spitfires and other prestigious aircraft in order to seat people as they waited to have their precious antiques or collectables valued.
On the day there were queues even before the doors opened at 10am and a steady stream of people came constantly through the doors taking a seat until they were called through. The day finally drew to a close at 4pm where many people walked away having enjoyed a great day out at a fantastic venue.
The show will not be airing until later on in the year so be sure to tune in and have a look at our great folding chairs in action!
